Denise Irvine

I am primarily a marriage celebrant and I love this work; I touch people’s lives at a happy time. It would be a privilege to be part of your wedding, to help you plan a ceremony that truly works for you. It is always my practice to listen to what couples want, to hear their vision for their wedding, offer ideas and resources, and write original ceremonies. I draw on my long career as a journalist and story-teller during interviews with couples, and in crafting the words. I send a draft copy well ahead of the ceremony. I also conduct funerals and work closely with the families involved, sharing resources and ideas, and similarly using my interviewing and writing skills to compile unique and meaningful services. I largely conduct ceremonies in Hamilton but occasionally travel to the wider Waikato and Bay of Plenty. And no ceremony is too big, or too small. It’s your event and you should have exactly what you want!
