In a former life I enjoyed a long career in the world of Finance and Insurance. I love working with people, and over the years I have worked with people from all walks of life in a wide range of ways. Relationships are important to me and my passion are people.I have always wanted to be a Celebrant, but felt it was important to ensure that I had experienced enough of life myself in order to be of service to other’s and make a difference at their time of need. I have dedicated my life to my community from a young age which has given me valuable life skills that I can use now to help others as a celebrant.I see it as a privilege and honor to assist people, whether it be at the very beginning of one’s life, with a Baby Welcoming, or Naming Ceremonies, to taking the next steps of Marriage, Civil Unions and Commitment Ceremonies, to End of Life Celebrations, Funerals and Farewells to our loved ones. Every stage of life has a reason to celebrate and remember, the happiness of times or the sadness that life can bring.I am dedicated to my clients by working with you to create a memorable ceremony that is befitting of the occasion, unique and personalized just for you.Coming from a professional background, I am a good listener, highly organised, experienced at public speaking, a creative writer, and most importantly, I have strong empathy, understanding and caring when people need it the most.I am a New Zealand Registered Independent Marriage and Civil Union Celebrant, a member of the Celebrants Association of New Zealand, and studying towards my Diploma of Celebrant Studies.
