Chris Whittington

I’m Chris Whittington from Napier, Hawke’s Bay. I am a retired academic, a Justice of the Peace, and a VCANZ registered celebrant.

Many years of experience have taught me how to listen and write creatively, and my aim is always to deliver an inclusive and well-balanced ceremony.

Communication and public speaking are my key skills. I studied Celebrancy at The Celebrant School, New Zealand. This, together with my background, allows me to draw on both my training and my experience to deliver a memorable ceremony.

My job is to handle the formalities, and whether your ceremony is big or small, I will work to make your occasion hassle-free. Whether you want an individually written ceremony or a short affair, I will help you design your perfect ceremony.

I am passionate about ceremonies. My experience and professionalism will help to remove all the stress of planning your ceremony so that you can relax and celebrate or reflect.
