Graham Jones

I am 67 years young and have been an independent celebrant for over 20 years.

 My first interest in becoming a celebrant was when I married my wife Liz 43 years ago. We were married by a celebrant which was almost unheard of back then and I remember how personal he made it – YES a male celebrant 43 years ago was pioneering stuff. Anyway I always thought ONE DAY!

Forward 20 years and talking with a celebrant friend about my interest in becoming “one” started my journey and I wondered why I waited so long to take the leap.

My celebrant work has taken me all over New Zealand (and to Australia). Highlights include marrying family and friends and taking the funeral services of my mother in law and my dear father.

I love the sense of occasion, the joy and love of a wedding day and being able to help celebrate Life and Love!
