As this newsletter reaches you, we sit on the edge of two meaningful moments. The beginning of our National Education Programme, and ANZAC Day.
On 27 April, our education programme kicks off. I believe this reflects our commitment to our craft, our professionalism, and to each other. Our focus has been on offering sessions that allow you to grow, remain relevant, and ensuring the service we offer our communities remains thoughtful and of a high professional standard. It has been designed to offer something for everyone, and we are seeing a great response already!
Just before that, we pause.
ANZAC Day is deeply personal for many of us. For me, it is a time of gratitude. For those who served our country, including my own grandfathers. For those who continue to serve, and for those we have lost. It is also a time to acknowledge those who remained at home, caring for whānau and maintaining a sense of normality in uncertain times.
That feels especially relevant right now. While today’s challenges are different, uncertainty still exists in many forms. As celebrants, we often stand alongside people in significant and emotional moments. That work asks a lot of us.
So, this is a gentle reminder to take a moment, to reflect, to show kindness, both to others and to yourself. As we step into this next chapter of learning, I hope you find space for both growth and stillness.
