Anita Keestra

Anita Keestra, is a dedicated Marriage/Civil Union Celebrant and a Justice of Peace since 2008. With a passion for creating unique and memorable ceremonies, she is here to help you celebrate your love story in the most special way that truly reflects who you are.

Anita Keestra was born in Fiji and migrated to New Zealand 35 years ago.  She is a Senior Lecturer at the Manukau Institute of Technology in the School of Business and an Industry Engagement Champion. Anita is a Justice of Peace (JP) for New Zealand, serving the community for the last 16 years. 

Anita has served and is serving on various community and organisation Boards and two Body Corporate committees.  She has served on Auckland Council’s Ethnic Peoples Advisory Panel (EPAP) as a Strategic Advisor for two terms (6 years) and is an experienced business person.

Anita is a proud mum of two sons, one a Doctor at Middlemore Hospital and the other son doing PhD in Genetics at Otago University. 

Anita has also held several senior management roles. Anita holds the following qualifications: MBA, Grad Dip in Economic Development, and a Bachelor of Education (Adult Ed.).  Currently, a law student at the University of Auckland.
