What does a funeral celebrant do?
A funeral celebrant works with your family/whānau to listen to your stories and understand who your person was. They’ll create a service that genuinely reflects who the person was.
They’ll help you choose readings and music, and guide you through every part of the ceremony with care and professionalism. They’ll hold space with care on the day itself.
They work closely with your funeral director to make sure everything runs smoothly on the day.
What will it cost?
Every celebrant sets their own rates based on their experience, location and the type of ceremony. The best thing to do is reach out to a few celebrants directly to discuss what’s included and what suits your budget.
