A word of caution about confidential emails intended for other couples.
Recently, a member had a very upset couple because their marriage documents had been sent incorrectly to another couple. An honest mistake, and the celebrant tried to settle the situation, with the help of BDM.
BDM’s Senior Advisor has advised of the correct process around this, and a copy is in our FAQs (under the BDM tab) and includes a templated response.
Our email systems are sometimes overly helpful, suggesting names, which can lead to mistakes.
