What does a memorial celebrant do?
Your celebrant will meet with you and your family/whānau before the service to listen to your stories and understand who your person was. They’ll help you choose readings and music, write a tribute that feels true, and hold the space with care on the day itself.
A memorial can take place anywhere and at any time, there are no legal requirements. That means you have complete freedom to create something that feels right for your family/whānau, whether that’s a small gathering at home or a larger service at a meaningful location.
