Hi, I’m Alice!

I live in the stunning town of Taupō, New Zealand. I’m 27 years old and have worked in the tourism industry my whole life. My journey began at the age of 13, and since then, I’ve taken on a variety of roles – from navigating the waters of the Waikato River as a jet boat driver to promoting the Taupō region with Destination Great Lake Taupō, our local Regional Tourism Organisation. I now work in my family business, Escape Aviation, as the Tourism Manager, combining my love for adventure with my passion for sharing the beauty of our region.

You might be wondering how I found myself on the path to becoming a celebrant. Well, years of working in tourism sharpened my ability to connect with people and tell stories that resonate. It all came together when my brother and now-wife’s original celebrant plans fell through. They asked me to step in and officiate their wedding in February 2024 – saying “yes” was a no-brainer. Little did I know, it would become one of the most fulfilling experiences of my life.

Standing before them, witnessing their love, and guiding them through their special day was a moment of pure magic – one I’d gladly relive again. That day lit a spark, and I realised I wanted to help create more moments like it.

So here I am, ready to embark on this incredible journey as a celebrant. I’m passionate about officiating meaningful, unique ceremonies that reflect the love and personality of each couple I have the privilege of working with.
