Andrea Hart

As a lifelong member of the LGBTQ community, I was delighted in 2013 that we were finally able to legally marry. Since then, a number of my friends have married and I became aware that there are not many LGBTQ celebrants, so I trained as a celebrant to cater for my community. However I am available as a celebrant to anyone who has found ‘the one’ and is ready to make a lifelong commitment to that love. 

My background is in teaching and psychology. I have a BA in Education, an Honours Psychology degree, and I’m currently studying part-time towards a Masters in Psychology. I have completed the Marriage Celebrant training at the Celebrants Training College and I am a registered celebrant. I am a confident public speaker, personable, and passionate about celebrating love and commitment.  

I have been with my partner Deb for 36 years. Our plan is to finally marry when time and funds allow! We have two wonderful adult children, 2 dogs, and 3 cats. I am a slightly obsessed gardener – the more flowers the better – and I love cooking, especially desserts. I am a bookworm who loves nothing more than to have a book in one hand and a glass of wine in the other!
