Barbara Joy Johnson

My location in Akoranga Drive, Northcote is very convenient to the many beautiful parks and beaches of the North Shore which I use frequently in summer for Registry Office weddings. The work of celebrancy gives me a precious opportunity to facilitate major milestones through life for families, while containing the stress. It may be through Marriages, Same Sex marriages, Funerals, Baby Namings, Interment of Ashes or Mistress of Ceremonies, for example. I find it satisfying to practice and combine my skills in public speaking, event organising, creative writing and stage managing all in one occupation. I completed the Certificate in Celebrant Studies in 2016, and am a committee member of the Auckland Branch of CANZ.
