Celebrations – namings, marriages, funerals – are about the people being celebrated. They are about those people and their families and their stories.

I started doing friends’ funerals over thirty years ago, and then took up celebrancy professionally. I also work as a counsellor and supervisor, and have spent many years in the governance of the New Zealand Aids Foundation and the New Zealand Needle Exchange Programme.
