Chris O’Connell

I am an experienced marriage celebrant who has been described as “professional, convivial and down-to-earth!” I will construct and deliver a personal and sincere ceremony which you will be delighted with. I believe that a wedding ceremony needs to reflect the personalities of the couple that are making a commitment together and that it’s the vital part of a memorable and enjoyable wedding day. I deliver tailor-made ceremonies, totally relevant to the couple, in a comfortable and relaxed fashion. I am a confident person with great people skills and experience in public speaking and I work with couples to deliver a memorable wedding ceremony.

I believe I may be the only PE teacher in New Zealand that’s also a celebrant – although someone may prove that wrong!! I’m a full time teacher with management responsibilities: and I teach in a rural secondary school in Canterbury. I have a background in public speaking starting from being head boy at high school and lots of experience as MC and celebrant at weddings. I’m married with two children.
