Weddings are fabulous, a day of joy and happiness, hope and love. It is impossible not to be caught up in the magic of it all, and that is why I became a celebrant – to help that magic happen at the time of the most important bit – the ceremony. And not just wedding ceremonies.There is something about the arrival of a new baby into a family that fills us all with awe and wonder. Again, a time of joy, hope, and love in celebrating this new wee life. We love babies, don’t we, and what better way to welcome them into the world of your family than a ceremony with baby’s most important people present and taking part.I especially like taking funerals. To honour the life of a loved one, to build up a picture of the person that all those present recognise, sharing funny and memorable things about that person, helping those present mourn and come to terms with how special that person was.I believe in face to face meetings with the people I am working for, to get a full picture of you, whether you are a couple marrying, what marriage means to you, how you met, funny stories; or your hopes and dreams for your new baby; or getting different stories and viewpoints of the person who has left us. Telling people’s stories is what I do. And being available by email, phone, in person, giving reassurance, confidence, and inspiration for your ceremony.I will help you with any legal requirements, liaising with other professionals involved in your ceremony, and being your go-to person. Most importantly I have warmth, understanding, and a great big smile. I hold a Certificate in Celebrant Studies.
