Mark McCarthny

Hi.  I have thoroughly enjoyed taking on the role as a marriage celebrant. Though it carries a massive responsibility, it is enjoyable to be part of such a happy occasion, and hopefully adding to the atmosphere without dominating it. It is pleasing to work with couples and their families to enhance the ceremony and make their day even more special. I have been happily married for over 40 years so absolutely appreciate the institution of marriage.  I have retired from teaching after 38 years teaching.  One of the skills that teachers definitely have is the ability to speak in public.  I have also been heavily involved in sport including playing, coaching and administration.  This means that I am comfortable in front of large and diverse groups.
