Parminder Kaur is a known community leader and recognised in the Indian community in New Zealand as a support person. She is the founder member of New Zealand Chandigarh Club Inc and also a founder trustee of Kiwi Indian Charitable and Social Club New Zealand. She can speak, English, Punjabi and Hindi (Indian languages). Singing, gardening and networking are among her hobbies. She is also a Director of Brightstar Horticulture Limited, a garden nursery based in South Auckland.
