Rachel Burnett

I’m a new celebrant with four beautiful weddings under my belt and 3 more ceremonies soon to come at the end of 2026/beginning of 2027. I’ve spent much of 2024 and 2025 completing the papers towards the Certificate in Celebrant Studies, which I’m one paper away from completing.

As an ex-English teacher, I believe in the power of well-chosen words and harnessing the power of individual stories to bring communities together. I aim to eliminate the ‘not quite right’ feelings by asking you questions to get to the heart of your life together so that you know your ceremony reflects your story.

I’m also an ex-theatre performer, so I’m keen to give any settings, themes, or enactments a go, including incorporating Te Reo into your ceremony.

I place high value on organisation so that you know a clear script, a well co-ordinated rehearsal, and all the paperwork can be ticked off your ‘to-do’ list!

I’m based in Otaki on the Kapiti Coast, but my job takes me all around the North Island, so I’d be happy to hear from you no matter where you are located.
