I love people, listening to the narrative of their lives in all its shades to be able to capture the very essence of their story, character and voice to touch hearts, minds and souls.

As a skilled communicator, writer and performer I have a big world of experience embracing diverse cultures, beliefs and values to make a memorable and satisfying ceremony that commemorates and honours life’s milestones.

I will tread lightly and deftly to help you navigate the path for your transition and listen to your story with an open heart and mind.

I provide a full range of ceremonies including funerals, memorials, ash internments, registry weddings as a validated celebrant, personalised weddings and baby namings, vow renewals, pet funerals, and home and workplace blessings.

The service can be traditional or informal; incorporate elements of faith or spirituality and be inclusive of cultures, ritual and traditions to mark a threshold event in life,

I will deliver the ceremony true to what you want and my promise to you.

About Susan

Journalist, broadcaster, foreign correspondent, actress, accomplished communications, PR and strategic business leader and consultant, my professional life has been focused on connecting people, ideas and values.

I live in Auckland with my husband, Hamin, a Malay and a magical chef, artist, musician and partner and we are parents to Sophie, our darling daughter.

I like to read and write – a lot and widely – talk and listen to learn about the world we live in in all its rainbow of colours, ideas and philosophies, entertain friends, go to concerts, theatre and exhibitions, exercise, go to ballet as a senior swan trying to find my feet and learn something every day.

I enjoy life and enjoy people.

Qualifications

I have a BA in English and Classics, Dip Drama, Dip Journalism, ATCL (Teachers), LTCL (Performers), Board Member of Massey School of Communications, Business Mentor and former Chair of International Association of Business Comunicators, and getting fitter and stronger every day as a Pilates devotee.
