Tryphena Cracknell

Hawke's Bay

Travels outside their area

Tryphena Cracknell has been a celebrant for over 20 years and during this time has worked with whanau/familes to create bespoke ceremonies for life’s special moments – namings, weddings or to farewell a loved one.

She loves being part of making each ceremony memorable, creating a calm supportive space that puts everyone at ease.

Her day jobs have included working in conservation to care for our special flora and fauna and in museums and art galleries as a curator and historian. She has published writing about art, textiles and fashion, Māori arts practice and contemporary jewellery.

She is a Mum to 3 sons and in her spare time practices the domestic arts as much as possible, sewing, gardening and cooking up feasts.
