Wendy Gates

Hi There

My Name is Wendy and I was born in Auckland 17.11.61, making me 65 years young this year.

I was raised by a single working Mum with two younger siblings.  One of which, lost his battle with cancer at a young 39 years of age.

I achieved the basic School Certificate and University Entrance English (as is was called back in the day) and proceeded into office / administration roles for employment.

I married and together we have 5 children and four grandchildren who are my joy.

I work full time as an sole charge office manager, and have done so for the last 15 or so years.

Over the years I have dabbled in night school with a variety of interests, mainly concerned with self help and natural remedies to an end result of attaining a balanced and happier, healthy life and outlook.

I do pride myself in my organisational skills.  If there is a family doo or trip – I always am called upon (actually mainly put up my hand) for the arrangements.   I also regard myself as quite the baker and am also called upon (again – offer)) to do dishes or baking for the occasion.

Another passion is making people happy, which brings me to my celebrant role and pleasure I have joining loving couples together in a ceremony.
