Ka Mua, Ka Muri – Honouring the Past, Inspiring the Future
A day for all celebrants that will be rich in connection, reflection, learning and celebration. Meet in person at this special place and a historically significant time! Whether you are a past or present graduate or student, still to start your celebrant journey, or one who has watched from the sidelines, you are welcome to join us in celebration of the profession to which we have committed our skills, our time, our service, and most particularly, our aroha.
Venue: Te Noho Kotahitanga, the Marae at the heart of Unitec, Mt Albert, Auckland.
Time: 10am start till 5pm with optional dinner to follow at a local restaurant.

Would you like to feel more confident and competent using te reo Māori in your ceremonies?
Are you embarrassed to hear poor pronunciation and tacked-on karakia?
Celebrants stand in a privileged position on important occasions, so really need to be good role models for culturally-appropriate practice.
This on-line workshop is designed for those celebrants who are early in their language journey. We all start somewhere. You may have some basics and are ready to review and improve your use of Māori language. A karanga is a call, and this workshop is a call to invite te reo Māori into your ceremonies.
